My first pair of socks completed. I used Felici self-stiping sock yarn from my new favorite website, KnitPicks, whose tagline is "Passionately committed to affordable luxury knitting." The pattern is Basic Socks from LionBrand.com.
Thanks for the suggestion on the LionBrand Jiffy Thick n Quick, by the way. I'm cranking the scarf out, almost through a skein of "Smoky Mountain" (variegated blacks and grays) It's pretty awkward looking, but I'm sure it'll look better when I'm wearing it instead of inspecting the not-so-straight edges!
(My husband also cleaned off our messy computer desk last week and found a GC to JoAnn for $25. WooHoo!!)
